Under Vincent Van Duysen's creative direction, Yabu Pushelberg (George Yabu + Glenn Pushelberg, Toronto-based, founded 1980) presents their first outdoor modular sofa system for Molteni&C. Sway = 11-element modular configuration (sofa 255cm / 170cm + 2 chaise lounges + corner module + side terminal + relaxation island). Solid teak base + aluminum frame + polypropylene rope weave (ecru tone) with ergonomic foam cushions of varying density. The Sway sofa back inspired by Richard Serra curve sculpture design (round tube transforms to flat weave via shrinking/flattening). Complementary tatami-inspired Sway table (dual-purpose seat/table).
