ClassiCon × Gabriel Tan Soft Stone Sofa 2026

Overview

ClassiCon's debut at Salone del Mobile.Milano in May 2026 of Gabriel Tan's inaugural modular sofa system. Singapore-born, Portugal-based designer Tan's composition combines 11 types of cubic upholstered modules asymmetrically, inspired by the stepped stone blocks along Porto Parque da Cidade (a scene Tan observed during the pandemic with people sitting and resting) and the organic sculptural forms of Isamu Noguchi. Each module features rounded corners in a box shape, geometric yet organic in form, composed of plywood frame, Nosag springs, upholstery foam, and Zimmer + Rohde fabrics in four varieties (Tinto / Pamir RE / Chenille Andro Plus / Antoni). Manufactured in-house in Bavaria.
