Brand Concept

Founded in Milan in 1959, Artemide's guiding philosophy is 'The Human Light'—a manifesto that positions light at the service of human well-being rather than purely functional illumination. The brand combines next-generation technology with ancient wisdoms, working with architects and designers to produce lighting that is simultaneously beautiful, sustainable, and responsive to human emotion and need.

Signature Products

  • Tizio 1972 Richard Sapper's precision counterweighted desk lamp, in which the arms themselves conduct electricity eliminating external wires; a Compasso d'Oro winner in the permanent collections of MoMA and the Met.
  • Eclisse 1967 Designed by Vico Magistretti, this bedside lamp with a rotating inner sphere that dims the light won the Compasso d'Oro and established Artemide as a pioneer of expressive, human-centred lighting.
  • Tolomeo 1989 Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina's articulated aluminum task lamp, a Compasso d'Oro laureate, became one of the most commercially successful and widely recognized designer lamps in history.
